Astrodome!
To compliment this term's topic, the children in year 5 were lucky enough to experience the 'Astrodome' on Tuesday 19th March. The Astrodome, which is an inflatable indoor planetarium, was set up in the junior hall. Once seated in the Astrodome, the children had to allow their eyes to become accustomed to the total darkness - then the show started! The children were then taken on an exciting adventure: they experienced a rocket launch, a journey through space, shooting stars, black holes, a close up view of some of the planets in our solar system and a real-time glimpse of our stars and Milky Way.
