Road Safety Visit
The Sainsbury Road Safety Lorry paid a visit to Burleigh today. The Road Safety Officers gave a talk to the pupils in Year 6 on the dangers of crossing roads and cycling near lorries and other large vehicles. The children had to opportunity to sit in the lorry and see for themselves how the driver's vision is restricted by blind spots. The children learned a great deal about road safety and the golden rule of 'If you can't see the driver, the driver can't see you.'
