Dear Parents / Carers,

School Uniform Reminder

Thank you for ensuring that your children come to school in the correct uniform – they look very smart and are a credit to you. School uniform is very important as it sets a fair and equal standard of dress for all pupils.

Shoes

Since coming back from half term, several Junior children have been wearing trainers instead of black school shoes. Proper black school shoes have always been part of our uniform, and continue to be so. If your child is not currently wearing them, please ensure they are by Monday 11th June. Thank you.

Jewellery

Children are allowed to wear small stud earrings – one in each ear. Hooped earrings are not allowed. Children are also not allowed to wear nail varnish or make-up.

Thank you for your support with the above requirements.

Yours sincerely,

N Norman

Dear Parents / Carers,

‘Do Something Different’ Day – Friday 22nd June 2018

Friday 22nd June is ‘Do Something Different’ day. This is an exciting opportunity for parents to spend time with their children experiencing something new and different together. In assembly yesterday, the children were already buzzing with ideas about what they will be doing on that day. [Please remember that there is no obligation to take your child out of school, as staff will be running ‘Do Something Different’ activities here at Burleigh.]

  1. you are planning to take your child out of school for the day, please complete and send back the slip below by Friday 8th June. we do not receive a reply slip, we will expect your child to be in school on this day. Knowing who will or won’t be here on 22nd June will allow staff to better plan activities for those choosing to remain at school.

Yours sincerely

N Norman
