  • Year 5: Spirit of the Wild Workshop

    Published 19/05/25

Year 5 were treated to an unforgettable experience with the Spirit of the Wild workshop, where they had the chance to get up close and personal with a variety of fascinating animals. Tying into their South American topic, the children interacted with creatures including an eagle, snakes and meerkats, each of which played an important role in the ecosystems within South America.

The workshop not only provided the children with a hands-on experience but also deepened their understanding of the natural world. They found out about the life cycles of these animals, the difference between poisonous and venomous species, and the crucial role each animal plays in their environment. The children were captivated as they held and observed the animals and discovered more about the animals’ diets, habits, and survival strategies.

From the majestic eagle to the curious meerkats, the workshop was an educational and exciting journey that left the children both enchanted and enlightened about the wonders of South American wildlife. A truly memorable morning, it brought their learning to life in the most hands-on way possible!
