In Art, the children have built on their learning from Year 1 to create tertiary colours using primary and secondary colours.  First, the children created a colour wheel and then used the colours they had created to create their own artwork inspired by Wassily Kandinsky's "Squares with Concentric Circles". 

They have also been refining their sketching skills and created self-portraits focusing on tone, shape, detail and shading. The children used sketching pencils and charcoal and compared both materials.
