All parents and carers become “Friends At Burleigh School” (FABS) when their children join Burleigh Primary School. However, it is up to you how much you get involved with helping with the events throughout the year
What does FABS do?
Throughout the year we organise a variety of events to raise funds which directly benefit the children at the school now.
What did FABS’ funds contribute towards in 2019?
What FABS did in 2020
In March 2020, FABS was a 'blue token' option in the local Tesco stores. Due to certain events, Tesco decided to split the funds fairly between the 3 charities. As a result, Burleigh received £1,166 to put towards some new Buddy Benches in the playgrounds.
Due to the ongoing issues arising from the pandemic, there are no events planned as yet -

When does FABs Meet?
Pre-pandemic, FABS would meet once a month to discuss up and coming events. This would include asking for assistance at events i.e. school discos, running stalls for the Christmas Fayre, Summer Fete.
The office will send a text message out to let you all know when and where the next meeting will be.
FABS is always looking for help; you do not need to attend meetings or be fully committed to assist - any help is always welcome.
If you are interested, and you would like to talk to someone about joining FABS or helping out at one of our events, please leave your name and contact number with the office and one of the FABS team will get in touch.
