  • Persuasive writing

In a surprising twist this week, our classroom chairs and tables decided to go on strike! Refusing to support any more reading, writing, or maths, they “walked out” in protest, leaving us to wonder how we would learn without them. Not ones to give up easily, our pupils rose to the challenge by putting their persuasive writing skills to the test. They carefully crafted letters full of strong arguments, polite requests, and even a little humour, all aimed at convincing the furniture to return. From promises of tidy surfaces to kind treatment, the children showed fantastic creativity and determination. We’re pleased to report that negotiations are underway and we’re hopeful our chairs and tables will be back in class very soon!
