As part of our Black History Week celebrations, we were thrilled to welcome two inspiring female scientists, Brenda and Ivie, into our school. Their visit gave our pupils an opportunity to explore the wonders of science through exciting experiments.
Brenda and Ivie led interactive sessions where we investigated endothermic and exothermic reactions, learning the difference between chemical reactions that absorb heat and those that release it. The sessions were filled with excitement as we were able to observe real chemical changes and even got to try some experiments ourselves.
Beyond the science, this experience gave our children the chance to see representation in STEM fields, inspiring them to dream big and believe that they too can be future scientists, inventors, and changemakers. A huge thank you to Brenda and Ivie for bringing science to life in such a meaningful and memorable way!
