In spite of the very hot weather conditions, Year 5 had a blast at Cuffley Camp.  They learnt some first aid skills, which were put into practice when they discovered a plane crash deep in the forest, as well as the art of axe throwing. As the weather was so hot, they also enjoyed a huge water fight in the woods – it certainly cooled them down!

On Monday 15^th June 2026, we held our annual Careers Fair for Years 3-6. This year, there was an even wider range of careers for the children to learn about, including a clinical psychologist, a petrochemical trader, a dentist and a CGI specialist! The event was a huge success thanks to our Burleigh community volunteers. Here are some of the responses from the children:

The 'Nourish' team are currently working with Burleigh. They support schools to create a food environment that puts children and young people's nutrition first. Following their recent visit, Melanie Glickman from the Nourish team, said, "It was so great to be at Burleigh yesterday. We really enjoy the time we have with the children. There is a huge sense of joy when we walk around. It is wonderful."
