Dear Parents,

As we continue our theme of food and healthy eating, and in response to parental feedback from surveys, the Nourish Team will be in school all day on Thursday 11th June.  Their first focus will be to run a coffee morning for parents from 8.40-9.40am in the Infant Hall.  Melanie Glickman, a registered nutritionist, will be showcasing some budget-friendly packed lunches and snack options as well as sharing some tips and tricks on how to encourage children to try new foods.  All parents are very welcome to come along to this event. Just come down the main Infant path and enter the school via the main office.

Dear Parents,

As we prepare for a week of hot weather, we want to work together to support the children in managing the heat and coping with the hot temperatures: 

- all children may wear their PE kit each day (or summer uniform as usual if you’d prefer); 

- an all-day sun cream should be applied before school; 

- a cap or, preferably, a wide-brimmed sun hat should be brought to school and worn at morning break and lunchtimes (please stress to your child the importance of wearing one of these); 

- a water bottle containing just water; 

- both Halls will be open at lunchtime for those children who wish to stay inside to read, draw, or talk quietly.

At this stage, we are not expecting any school closures but will follow any national or local (HCC) advice sent to the school.  Parents will be notified as soon as possible if any changes to the above are made.
