Butterfly Gardens!
Both EYFS and Year 5 are studying habitats in science and have Butterfly Gardens in their classrooms. The Butterfly Garden kit comes with caterpillars, special solid food, small tubs and a netted container. Both year groups have been watching their catapillars avidly and the children are amazed at how fast they actually grow - they have more than trebled in size in only two weeks! The EYFS caterpillars arrived a few days before Year 5's and have already cocooned!
