• School Council

  The new School Council had their first meeting this morning, to talk about Maths in the school. This group of students is elected by their peers, and two from each class from Year 2 upwards will now be meeting weekly, with various members of staff. Each time they look at a different subject and give their views on how they experience it. They may also be involved in particular projects, such as the selection of the new play equipment that was purchased last year.

  Alongside our Rainbow (Infant) and Planet (Junior) awards, given out in assembly for those children who have completed their star charts, we also give out a special MAGIC award to one child in each class, who has shown one of the aspects of MAGIC (Motivation, Aspiration, Gumption, Inspiration or Communication). These children also are treated to Hot Chocolate with the Head straight after the assembly.
