    Sponsor a Burleigh Chicken

As a school we are extremely lucky to be able to have our own chickens.  As well as staff’s time and commitment to care for them there is also the financial side. In order to help us keep the chickens we are now offering you the opportunity to sponsor your very own chicken for a month.

The cost is £10 for the month and in return you will get:

    • A box of 4 eggs a week for your month
    • A photo of your child and their chosen chicken
    • A certificate for your child
    • Your name on the school website

If you would like to sign up for a month please see a member of the office staff.

Thank you in advance for helping us to keep the chickens part of Burleigh School.

  • Sportshall Athletics competition

    Wed 11 Mar 2020

On Tuesday 3rd March Burleigh entered the exciting Sportshall Athletics Competition, which was held at Wodson Park, Ware.  Sportshall Athletics is an exciting team competition which focuses on indoor athletics - team sprints, relays, hurdles and field events, including chest push, standing long jump and speed bounce.  Overall, there were 13 schools in total and the competition was extremely challenging!  The children performed magnificently, with each child giving their all in their event.  The boys and girls won three of their six heats in the team relays.  This put us in a strong position to finish in the top five.  When the results were announced, our boys had finished in the 5th place and the girls an impressive 2nd place!

It was an amazing effort by everyone involved, and the entire school is very proud of the children's achievements and how they conducted themselves at the event.
