    New messaging system

From time to time, we send information to parents via text message to your mobile phone. This is at a significant cost to the school. The free smartphone app for parents called ‘School Gateway’ for Apple (iOS 8 on the iPhone 4S or later, iPad, iPod Touch) and Android (4.0 / Ice Cream Sandwich or later) devices has messaging built in for free and we will be using this in the future. Many of you already have this app, in which case you don't need to do anything.

Please could you download this new app to your phone (it’s free) if you don’t already have it as it will help us improve communication with parents – and save the school money.

The set-up process is simple and will take no more than a couple of minutes:

    1. Search for “School Gateway” in the Apple App Store/Google Play or on your phone go to
    www.schoolgateway.com/apple (Apple) or www.schoolgateway.com/android (Android)

    2. Install the app and if you are asked then say yes to “Allow Push Notifications”

    3. When you launch School Gateway for the first time, please select ‘New User’ and enter the email address and mobile telephone number you have registered with the school

    4. The system will send a PIN code to your phone; please enter this PIN code and the app will be activated for you.
As soon as you’ve got the system set-up, all of the text messages we send you will appear in the app; you’ll receive notifications/alerts as normal.

If you’ve recently changed your email address or mobile telephone number, please let us know so we can update our records.

    Thank you for your help.

  • Important information for new Reception starters

Fri 04 Sep 2020 Amy Smith

We are looking forward to you joining us next week! A few important bits of information:

    • Uniform or own clothes can be worn for the ‘stay and play’ sessions. School uniform must be worn from Monday 14th September.
    • One adult to accompany their child to the ‘stay and play’ sessions. We cannot allow any additional adults or siblings due to keeping the number of people entering the school building to an absolute minimum.
    • Adults to wear a mask when inside the classroom, please make sure you bring one with you.
    • For stay and play sessions, please wait at the green gate to the right of the main reception. Please be prompt.
    • From Monday 14th September our drop off time has changed from 8:40 am to 9:00am, this is due to the whole school having staggered start times.
    • From Monday 21st September our collection time is 3:00pm.
    • Children need to bring in their own named water bottle.
    • No pencil cases are needed for Reception children.
    • Lunch boxes are allowed.

    Thank you for your co-operation

  • Return to school!

    Fri 04 Sep 2020 N Norman

    Dear Parents,

Welcome back to the start of the new school year!  We are excited about seeing you and your child once again after what can only be described as a very long absence.  The staff have been in school for the last two days looking at ways to help children close their learning gaps and support them emotionally as a result of lockdown.

The newsletter containing all the information you need is now available - click on the Orange Pencil and select Newsletters to see the first newsletter of our new school year 2020-2021. Page 2 contains useful information about start and finish times for each year group. It is hoped that everyone will be able to arrive at school at the correct time, as this will keep the number of people we all mix with down to the bare minimum. If, by any chance, you miss your arrival time slot, please go to the main office in the infant building.
